Newport Lakes Centre Information

Hours of Operation

The Centre is open 51 weeks of the year Monday to Friday from 7.00am to 6.00pm.
Newport Lakes Child Care and Early Learning does not offer occasional care.
The Centre will be closed on all public holidays.                                                                                                                                                                                           Normal fees will be charged if you are normally booked in on that day on a permanent basis.

Centre App  

Our Centre runs a Parent Portal App for your computer or smart phones. This App is free to download and gives families the convenience of knowing how their child’s day has gone before arriving to pick them up. Each parent gets their own log in details to access the website, we share centre (individual rooms) news, Child’s portfolios, photos and observations, policies, forms, daily updates with a feedback system so you can comment on a post and share information with educators.

Fees and Payments

  • Daily fee is $121.00
  • 5 day permanent booking is $575 (saving of $30 )
  • $123.00 For Non Funded Kindergarten Children

Newport Lakes Child Care and Early Learning does not offer occasional care.

Invoices will be emailed to all families and will show all information regarding the calculation of your fees with regards to Child Care Subsidy (CCS) and eligible  hours . All attendances will be submitted to the Family Assistance Office on a weekly basis under the Child Care Management System (CCMS)

NLC account payment method will be processed by Direct Debit only. A Direct Debt form will need to be completed during the enrolment process.
NLC will not receive Cheque, Cash, Eftpos or BPay for payment of Fees.

Our Educators

NLC will recruit the best possible Diploma  and Certificate lll qualified educators.

All staff undergo a comprehensive selection recruitment and induction process.

All staff employed will have current Working with Children's Check, Police Check, First Aid Training and Children's Services Qualifications that are relevant to:

The Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010

The Education and Care Services Regulations 2011

All staff will be required to attend on going personal development training while employed.

Educational Support Leader

Our centre employees a full time Educational Support Leader for 4 days a week. The role of the educational support leader is to guide our planning and programming. Support the Educators and staff development. Organising educational incursions and excursion. Connecting our service with the community around us, finding ways to strengthen those connections and involvement for children and their families (where possible).

THE VALUE OF PLAY!

We encourage each child to learn from play. All programs are developmentally appropriate that caters for all children’s needs and abilities. We enable children to develop their fine and gross motor skills, problem solving, social skills and physical abilities by providing open ended experience in both indoor and outdoor experience.
